Description
The BSc (Hons) Dietetics programme, is the only bachelor in Greece that covers both the field of Clinical Dietetics and the field Nutrition. The modern lifestyle and the modern eating habits have created new needs for healthy nutrition, mainly for health reasons but for aesthetic reasons as well. The professional Dietetician is the professional who, through specialized and scientific knowledge, is able to create the personal, individualized diet of a client, provide him/her with support, monitor the fluctuations of his/her weight and balance his/her eating habits and help him/her optimize his physical and psychological health. The programme of studies aims to train Dieteticians both in the sector of prevention in a healthy population and in the sector of assessment and therapy. It focuses on developing the clinical skills of students and at cultivating their critical thinking by offering hands-on practice in the state-of-the-art laboratories of the College, by organizing educational visits, and organizing 28 weeks of clinical practice in Hospitals and Dietetic Centres.

Career Prospects
The BSc (Hons) Dietetics programme offers the necessary skills to those who wish to advance professionally in the Dietetics sector. Graduates of the programme can:

• Pursue a career as Nutrition Consultants, Nutritionists and Clinical Dieteticians in Nutrition Centres (e.g. Nursing Homes, Restaurants, Hotels, Institute – Slim Centers, Sports Centres, Physiotherapy Clinics, Food Industries), and in Hospitals, Clinics and institutions. Work in settings where the presence and involvement of experts in that science is deemed necessary.
• Work as freelancers, creating and developing their own Dietetics Centre.
• Continue their studies at postgraduate level in Greece and abroad.
