The programme covers core HRM elements including resourcing, relations and performance. It also focuses on the areas where HRM can add competitive advantage to an organisation in the future, so is ideal for both specialist HR practitioners and generalist managers. The Postgraduate Certificate stage provides you with a broad recognition of the business environment and context within which the HRM function operates. There is a particular emphasis on leadership within the organisation and the HRM function. The Postgraduate Diploma stage builds on this foundation with a more in depth exploration of a range of specialist areas selected from the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) Qualifications Advanced Diploma menu and aligned to the CIPD Profession Map, ensuring the CIPD rules of combination for the CIPD Postgraduate Diploma HRM are satisfied. You will develop your knowledge and understanding of training, learning and development and employee performance management. Throughout the programme, using both theories and practice, you'll explore, assess, evaluate and discuss strategic management and policy level issues. You will also be encouraged to apply learning to your work place.
